Following the successful launch of Boards in the City of London and in Guildford, there appears to be demand for setting up new Boards. We are therefore looking to launch new Boards in Mayfair, Canary Wharf and South West Surrey. The Board allows members to discuss business issues with trusted 'Boardroom' colleagues in confidence on a monthly basis. Board meetings will be held over lunch, generally in a private room of a restaurant. The cost of being a Board member comprises a small monthly subscription plus the cost of lunch - the bill will be equally split amongst Board members. The Nursery Show is being held in Bournemouth on April 27th and 28th (http://nurseryshow.co.uk/) and will provide an opportunity for Early Years practitioners to meet over 40 suppliers specialising in the sector and attend a comprehensive EYFS Professionals Seminar Programme. This is the only event of its kind being held in the South this year and should not be missed. The event is free to attend (pre-booking essential) and the supplier list includes many of the major suppliers of services and resources to the Day Nursery and Childminder sectors, as well as new suppliers who have innovative offerings, such as educational toys from Never Never Land and independent purchasing advice from Auditel. A number of members have expressed an interest in attending events when business issues can be discussed with 'Boardroom' colleagues on a regular basis. We have therefore decided to set up Boards in London [The City], Guildford and Haslemere. Only one member of each profession can join each Board, and the intention is that individuals attend most Board meetings. The Board meetings will be held over lunch, most probably in a private room of a restaurant. The cost of being a Board member will be a combination of a monthly subscription of £12.50 [plus VAT] and the cost of lunch - the bill will be equally split amongst Board members.
